Kitten!!!

The house is no longer empty, we have a kitten. We love critters and not having one in the house seemed wrong. I would like to introduce Olaf Köttr.

We found him at the Oregon Human Society. Out of all the kittens there, we of course chose the sickly one. The first day we saw him at the shelter, he smelled horrible. He had fleas, ear mites, possibly worms, and still has an upper respiratory infection. He's our little fuzzy ball of sneezes and mucus.
He's only 12 weeks old, so he's still a little too uncoordinated to blog. The number one priority is learning to properly use the litter box, which is proving to be more difficult that we had hoped, we'll leave it at that to protect little Olaf's dignity.

We are sorry for the loss of Mortimer. But getting a new kitty so soon afterward is not wrong. There is no proper time, just when your heart says you're ready. Humans can love, even as they grieve. (We read a couple of your earlier posts.)

So we're glad you've adopted Olaf. He obviously needs a home and care.

We are so sorry that Mortimer passed away but you did the right thing in adopting a new little one - to help him as well as your family. So many cats will never know a loving home. Bless you and welcome little Olaf!

Hi Olaf, we are so glad to meet you. We are glad your daddies decided to adopt another kitty. Mom agrees that a house is just a house without the patter of little kitty feet. Get well soon.
