It's barely September and I fear that fall is upon us here in Portland. The days are getting shorter, the air is crisp and soon the rain will wash the summer stink out to sea. The best thing about fall is that my birds return from their summer of fornication to the feeder outside my favorite window. I think I will just lay here and wait for their return.

That sounds like a good plan. We don't get many birds - mainly because we don't have a feeder. We would make Mom get one, but we might attract bigger birds than we were expecting.
